The Telangana government will inaugurate the prestigious Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project tomorrow i.e, on June 21 dedicating it to the nation.
Heavy police security has been deployed on either side of the Godavari river to prevent any sort of attempt by the Maoists at the project. Hundreds of police were involved in combing at the forest area and at the bank of the river.
On Wednesday, DGP Mahendar Reddy and Intelligence IG Naveen Chand reviewed the security arrangements at the Kaleshwaram project. The police are monitoring every moment in the area with the help of drones.
The police were off to duties to provide security at Medigadda barrage in Mahadevapur and at Kannepalli pump house. Four SPs, nine ASPs, 66 CIs and 142 SIs are deployed at the area.
The police force was mobilised by the government in the view of the arrival of the state chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.
