Mahbubnagar: With an aim to extend a helping hand to poor farming families who have lost their loved ones in unfortunate incidents, Anirudh Yuva Sena (AYS), a group of youngsters led by Janampally Anirudh Reddy of Rangareddy Guda village of Rajapur mandal in Jadcherla constituency, has been extending a financial aid of Rs 5,000 towards funeral expenses to the kin of deceased persons across the constituency.

In 2001, Anirudh was moved after witnessing the pathetic situation after the demise of his grandmother, wherein the family members had not even a single penny to carry out the funeral. He related the same situation to poor farmer families and then onwards he had determined to extend financial aid for the funeral expenses of the poor deceased persons. "I had realised the plight of poor during the death of their beloved ones. Sometimes they don't even have the money to carry out the funeral. I felt no family should face such a problem and for the last eight years, I have been giving Rs 5,000 aid to kin of deceased persons from poor families. So far, we have helped many people in various villages in Jadcherla constituency," said Anirudh Reddy.

Apart from extending financial aid for funerals, AYS is also helping in digging borewells in villages facing water scarcity and distributing books to poor students. Anirudh, who had joined the Congress party recently, said that TRS party had promised many things likes jobs, water, quality education and others, but it backtracked after coming to power. "We will fight against the TRS government by building a new youth leadership that will take up the fight," said Anirudh, while sharing his plans for the future.
