Hyderabad: With an objective to create awareness about the various measures initiated to ensure inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the electoral process and also to fulfil the Election Commission of India's motto, 'No Voter To Be Left Behind,' a walk will be held on Sunday (March 31) 7:30 am at People's Plaza, Necklace Road.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, which is organising this programme, is also aiming to motivate PWDs to come forward and exercise their franchise.

This awareness initiative is among a slew of other initiatives planned by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer to achieve the Election Commission of India's mission of making elections accessible.

Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar, Additional CEO Budha Prakash, GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Rachakonda Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat, Cyberabad Commissioner V C Sajjanar, Joint CEO Telangana K Amrapali, Hyderabad Collector K Manicka Raj, among others are expected to take part in the walk.

Other participants include eminent personalities from various fields, persons with disabilities along with activists and non-governmental organisations engaged in empowering persons with disabilities.
