Khammam: BJP district unit celebrated the Telangana Vimochana Day here in the district on Tuesday. Former MLC Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy and party workers participated in the programme.

Sudhakar Reddy hoisted the national flag in various centres. Criticising the TRS government, Sudhakar Reddy said the State government failed to conduct the Telangana Libration Day officially though the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had promised the same. Sudhakar Reddy promised that the BJP would conduct the Vimochana Day if voted to power in the State. He said with the people blessing, the BJP is ruling in Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Alleging that the TRS government failed to implement the poll promises, he said the people of the Telangana are facing various issues, but the government is dragging its feet and fooling them. Sudhaker Reddy demanded the government to declare a health emergency in the State. He said the people are suffering from fevers but the CM and his Ministers are not bothered about them and are enjoying the posts.

Before the programme the party celebrated the birthday of Prime Minister Narendera Modi. They cut a cake and distributed sweets to the people. Sudhaker Reddy said the people are attracting towards the BJP because of the schemes of the Central government.

Under the regime of PM Modi the county developed during the past five years. Stripping off Kashmir of special status by abrogation of Article 370 is one of the examples of the developments taken place under his ruling. The leader distributed fruits and milk to patients in the hospital and school children in the town. BJP district unit leaders and workers participated in the programme.
