Book fairs in 140 Khammam schools on August 30
State Backward Classes Commission member J Gouri Shankar informed that a book fair would be conducted on August 30, in 140 schools.
Khammam: State Backward Classes Commission member J Gouri Shankar informed that a book fair would be conducted on August 30, in 140 schools. Speaking at a meeting attended by Joint Collector Hanumanth Kodimba and headmasters of various schools at the Collectorate meeting hall in Khammam on Tuesday, Gouri Shankar said as part of the enhancing the students' knowledge, the book fairs were planned.
He said as part of the programme, on August 29, an essay writing competition would be held for schoolchildren. Joint Collector Hanumanth Kodimba, addressing the gathering, directed the headmasters to create awareness about the book fair to the students besides motivating them to read books daily.
District Educational Officer Madan Mohan, District Tourism Officer Suman Chakravarthi and other officials attended the meeting.
