Boycott TRS in Huzurnagar by-election, says Shabbir Ali
Former Minister and ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Sunday urged the minorities in Huzurnagar Assembly constituency to either boycott the TRS leaders or question them on non-fulfilment of promises.
Hyderabad: Former Minister and ex-Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Sunday urged the minorities in Huzurnagar Assembly constituency to either boycott the TRS leaders or question them on non-fulfilment of promises.
Addressing a press conference, along with MLC T Jeevan Reddy at Huzurnagar, Shabbir Ali said that the minorities should not allow TRS leaders to seek votes until they give a reply on the non-fulfilment of promises which includes 12 per cent reservation in jobs and education for Muslims, judicial powers to Wakf Board, huge cut in annual budget and most importantly TRS party's support to the BJP government at the Centre.
Shabbir Ali alleged that minorities have been cheated in the name of Rs 2,000 crore annual budget. He alleged that not even once the budget for minorities welfare was fully utilised.
He said the spending was less than 60 per cent in the last six years. Earlier in the day, Shabbir Ali campaigned along with Congress candidate Padmavathi Reddy in Mallareddygudem and other areas.
He addressed several corner meetings. Shabbir Ali, who campaigned in several areas of Huzurnagar during the last two days, claimed that Padmavathi Reddy was all set to win the elections not only with a comfortable majority but a huge margin.
