About 1250 kg of Chloral Hydrate used in adulteration of toddy has been seized by the Narcotics Prevention Wing of Police here at Nizamabad on Thursday night. The Chloral Hydrate has estimated at Rs 3 crore.
The Narcotics police followed the truck from Hyderabad and then informed the Nizamabad police who seized the contraband at Madhavnagar while it is being transported to Gujarat illegally.
The Chloral Hydrate packed in 50 bags, concealed underneath cable wire bundles was seized along with two lorries, car, an autorickshaw and a bike.
The truck driver and cleaner were arrested.
