Zaheerabad: Director General of National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) V Usharani appreciated the efforts of Deccan Development Society (DDS) for empowering women.
She was the chief guest at the programme organised by the DDS at Pastapur village to felicitate six women who bagged prestigious UN award. Usharani said it is a proud movement that illiterate women got the international recognition. She wished that continuous encouragement would elevate them to new heights.
She, along with guests of honour Utkarsh Ghate, climate change expert, visiting faculty, NIRD, Hyderabad, felicitated the women who got the awards. DDS Director PV Sathish, Dr Ashish Lothario, Narsamma and others were present on the occasion.
