Hyderabad: The distribution of Bathukamma sarees will begin in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits from Tuesday onwards.
GHMC Mayor B. Rammohan Mohan will inaugurate the programme on Tuesday in the presence of ministers from Hyderabad, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, public representatives and senior officials. A total of 11,21,618 sarees would be distributed among women. Elaborate arrangements have been made in all 31 circles of GHMC for the saree distribution programme.
