Eid-ul-Fitr 2020: With the lockdown in place to contain coronavirus, the streets of Charminar wore a deserted look on the festive day of Ramzan.

Eid-ul-Fitr 2020: With the lockdown in place to contain coronavirus, the streets of Charminar wore a deserted look on the festive day of Ramzan. No prayers were also held at Mecca masjid. Muslims across the state were asked to offer prayers at home as all the mosques were remained closed due to the lockdown.

No religious congregations were held at Eid-Meer-Alam, Eidgah-E-Bilal, Eidgah madannapet and other famous mosques. Banners were put up at the mosques not to hold any congregations. The famous masjid Hafiz Danka in MoghalPura was also closed.

Dressing in traditional attires, all the Muslims celebrated the festival at home. They chose to make video calls to extends greetings to their relatives and friends. Many of them stopped visiting their relatives' place in the view of coronavirus pandemic.

Even on Sunday night, Ramzan Bazar at Charminar was closed at 7 pm. The streets of Laad Bazar and Pathergatti also wore a deserted look.
