In a horrific incident, an elderly man attacked with a sword by one Lalu Singh on Sunday night at Bodhan in Nizamabad district.
The victim Posetti, a native of Rakasipeta is a cobbler. On Sunday, Posetti met Lalu Singh while he was going to Sarbati Canal to get things related to mending shoes.
Meanwhile, Posetti noticed Lalu carrying a sword and asked him to show it. The accused who was in inebriated state attacked Posetti with the sword who suffered injuries on his leg and shoulder.
Locals shifted him to the government general hospital in Bodhan. The police registered a case and arrested Lalu Singh.
