Focus on Devadula project

Warangal: The land acquisition process for Devadula lift Irrigation Project would be speeded up, Warangal Rural District Collector M Haritha said.
Speaking at a review meeting here on Tuesday, she directed the officials to expedite the land acquisition process with immediate effect. "Of the required 475 acres, the authorities were able to acquire only 117 acres," she said.
The Collector who reviewed land records village-wise told the officials to issue Form C notification for 125 acres as early as possible.
Terming Devadula lift as a boon for farmers, Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy stressed the need for completing works at the earliest.
He urged the administration to pay market price for the land acquired for canals.
Joint Collector Mahender Reddy, Narsampet RDO Ravi, Devadula Chief Engineer Bangaraiah, Superintending Engineer Sudhakar Reddy and EE Saibaba were among others present.
