This comes after the incorrect party symbols of CPI on the ballot paper. The state election commission said that ballot paper was wrongly printed with the symbol of CPI candidate. Instead of 'Ears of corn and sickle', the ballot paper was printed with 'hammer', 'sickle' and 'star'.
Taking to Twitter, Municipal Administration and Urban development Secretary Arvind Kumar said that the repolling will be held on December 3 and an indelible ink will be applied on the middle finger of the voters.
The symbol error on the ballot paper was noticed by the general observer of the Malakpet circle who reported the mistake to higher authorities.
