Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials on Thursday sealed Shah Ghouse Restaurant at Gachibowli for lack of mandatory fire safety measures and no objection certificate (NOC).

According to K Viswajit, Director, Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management (EVDM), GHMC officials ordered the restaurant management to submit an affidavit on setting up the required fire and life safety measures within 15 days to get further permissions to reopen the restaurant.

Earlier, a minor fire incident occurred on Monday. No casualties were reported as the fire tenders rushed to the spot immediately.

The GHMC officials during their inspections found that some hotels, pubs and restaurants in the city are running on illegal floors without any fire safety and NOC certificates.

The officials decided to take stringent actions on such hotels, pubs and restaurants managements.
