Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, (JNTU-H) released the TS ECET-2019 results.

Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, (JNTU-H) released the TS ECET-2019 results. Addressing the media after announcing the results, Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman, Prof T Papi Reddy, JNTU-H Vice-Chancellor Prof Venugopal Reddy, Registrar Prof Yadaih and Convenor Prof A Govardhan said the test was conducted at 85 centres across Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh. Out of 28,037 registered for the entrance test, 27,123 persons had appeared the examination and 24,497 persons are qualified.

The total pass percentage this time was 90.32. The pass percentage of girls was 92.38 per cent the boys pass percentage stood at 89.51, they said.Candidates qualified in the TS ECET-2019 will be admitted in the streams of BSc.(mathematics), Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering and Pharmacy.

As per the criteria of finalisation of ranks in the engineering stream, candidates are ranked on the basis of merit in TS ECET[FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2019. In case of a tie in aggregate, the marks obtained in engineering subject, and in case of further tie the marks obtained in the Mathematics subject and if the tie still continues, the marks obtained in physics subject will be taken into account to decide the relative ranking.

In case of candidates getting equal marks in each of the four subjects, they will be bracketed for the purpose of the award of rank. Also, the age of the candidate will be considered at the time of admission for resolving the tie, the older candidate being given preference.

The candidate is ranked (Integrated Merit Rank) based on the marks obtained by him or her in the TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)]-2019 Examination. The Integrated Merit Rank is based on the total marks obtained in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc. (Mathematics)]-2019 by candidates with Diploma in any branch of Engineering and Technology.

Similarly, in the case of Pharmacy stream candidates are ranked on the basis of merit in TS ECET [FDH & B.Sc.(Mathematics)] - 2019. In case of a tie, the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration. On a further tie, age will be taken into consideration; the older candidate will be given priority at the time of admission.

Likewise, for BSc.(mathematics) stream candidates are ranked based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination. In case of a tie in aggregate, the marks obtained in Mathematics subject and in case of further tie the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination shall be taken into account to resolve the tie at the time of admission. On a further tie, age will be taken into consideration; the older candidate will be givenpriority at the time of admission.
