Heavy rain lashes Hyderabad again

Heavy rainfall pounded Hyderabad inundated the roads and low-lying areas in the city. Areas like Secunderabad, Chilakalguda, Padmarao Nagar, Parsigutta, Sangeet, Kukatpally, JNTU, Panjagutta, Tank Bund and Himayat Nagar witnessed the downpour bringing traffic to a halt.
Addressing the media, GHMC commissioner Lokesh Kumar said that they have alerted all teams to carry out the rescue operations in the city. He also assured to repair the roads damaged due to the rainfall. He also said that around 1,043 dengue cases were registered in the city.
He also clarified that the GHMC has no shortage of funds to carry out the development works.
