Uppal: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) officials distributed clay Ganesh idols to visitors at mini Shilparamam in Uppal on Wednesday.
"Asst Engineer Lavanya said that with the aim of creating awareness among people on environmental protection, HMDA launched a programme of distributing 60,000 Ganesh idols to people at various places.
We will be distributing the idols till Vinayaka Chavithi. We will be distributing the idols to various places using mobile vans," she added.
Visitors appreciated the initiative taken by the HMDA
