Hospital treats dead baby in Hyderabad, charges medical bill of Rs 1.2 L

Tension prevailed at a private hospital in Hyderabad after the doctors treated a dead baby and collected Rs 1.2 lakh medical bills from a family.

A couple, Paramesh and Pavani, a native of Deccan Thanda in Choutuppal has brought their 25-day old baby to the hospital after she fell sick. The doctors assured them to cure her condition and demanded Rs 30,000 per day.

After collecting Rs 1.2 lakh from the family, they demanded more for the treatment and restricted them to see the baby. However, when the family managed to see the baby, they found her already dead.

Relatives and family members of the baby staged a protest at the hospital demanding action against the management.
