An assistant registrar and inspector working at District Registrar of Co-operative Societies in Medchal-Malkajgiri district have been caught red-handed while accepting a bribe .
The arrested Damodar and Chandra Kiran are learned to have demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from Bhoomi Reddy, president of Sainath Society, Bahadurpally for conducting a field inquiry and audit report of the society.
The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau laid a trap and nabbed the two while taking the bribe. Further details are awaited.
