Hyderabad: The Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan reacted to the incident in which a woman was kidnapped by 100 men in broad daylight in Hyderabad. Reacting to the incident, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan took to her Twitter handle and stated that she was shocked after learning about the incident and raised concern over the woman. She ordered the State DGP to provide security to the victim's family and the girl.

She tweeted as "Shocked to see the incident. Concerned about the safety of the woman kidnapped Assure her family that the culprits will be booked as per law. Request @TelanganaDGP for necessary action to safeguard the family & girl."

It is to mention here that in a gruesome kidnap of a 24-year-old woman Vaishali pursuing a bachelor of dental surgery created ripples in the city and the police arrested the accused and rescued the woman within six hours. It is known that the main accused Naveen Reddy along with 100 armed mobsters created a ruckus at the victim's residence in Adibatla on her engagement day and kidnapped her. The victims destroyed the CCTV cameras to not disclose their identities.

Speaking to the media, her father said his daughter is safe as she called her. He added that the accused approached them with a marriage proposal but they denied it. Later, the accused attacked them and kidnapped his daughter. The police filed a case and searching for the remaining accused.

It is to mention here that, a group of unidentified persons rushed into a house at Turkayamjal in Adibatla on Friday and allegedly kidnapped a woman, hours before her engagement. This was witnessed in the city suburb.

A video making rounds on social media, it can be seen that the group of men armed with rods and sticks in their hands vandalise the properties and then barge into the house and kidnap the woman.

According to sources, at least 50 youngsters, most of them armed with sticks, stones and iron rods, entered the house and forcibly took away the woman, whose engagement was scheduled later in the day. The group targeted her father, relatives and neighbors, who tried to resist them apart from damaging the furniture and vehicles parked at the premises.

On receiving information, the Adibatla police reached the spot and took up investigation. They are inquiring the eyewitnesses and verifying the CCTV footage from the spot. Special teams have been formed to nab the kidnappers and rescue the woman.
