- HC stays elections in Miryalaguda municipality
- Due to the discrepancies in the voter list and delimitation of wards, the elections stayed
The state High Court on Wednesday issued stay orders directing the EC against holding elections in Miryalaguda municipality due to the discrepancies in the voter list and delimitation of wards.
While hearing the plea filed by Congress leader Chilukuru Balu, the Court directed the EC to hold the elections.
On June 12, the High Court stayed the elections in Shamshabad municipality due to the same reason after a petition was filed by three people challenging the draft notification issued by the municipal administration on July 5.
