Basheerbagh: Secretary of state IT department Jayesh Ranjan would contest in Telangana Olympic Association (TOA) elections. This was stated by Jagan Mohan Rao, who is contesting for the post of general secretary of the association, here at a press meet organized at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium on Friday.
Speaking to media, Jagan Mohan Rao said that High court had instructed election officials to accept the nomination of Jayesh Ranjan. Earlier, election officials rejected the nomination filed by Jayesh Ranjan, he added. He said that High Court had instructed returning officer to accept the nomination as Jayesh Ranjan had sought permission from the state chief secretary to contest in the elections. The panel, with Jayesh Ranjan as president and himself as general secretary, would contest in the elections to be held on February 9, he said. Jagan Mohan Rao exuded confidence that the panel would secure victory in the elections.
