A 34-year-old man who suffering from fever, cold, cough and breathlessness jumped into Hussain Sagar after several corporate hospitals denied treatment.

Paltupan, a native of West Bengal was residing in Doodhbowli in Hyderabad for the past few years along with her wife Romapan and was working as a goldsmith. Paltupan was suffering from the symptoms of coronavirus for the past 10 days and was undergoing treatment at a clinic. However, he later visited a corporate hospital Malakpet on the doctor's advice but was denied treatment due to the lack of beds.

He also visited other private hospitals where the staff asked him to go to Gandhi Hospital.

Depressed over health condition, Paltupan asked her friend Sri Ramulu to take him near tank bund for fresh air. Around 7.55 pm on Friday, Paltupan and his friend visited tank bund and later told his friend he would go for a normal walk. He moved forward and then jumped into Hussain Sagar.

Sri Ramulu alerted the police who launched a hunt and registered a case. The body is yet to be traced.
