The police who collected key evidence in the Disha murder case will be sending it to the forensic lab. Disha's footwear, identity card, and clothes have been recovered from the spot and sent to the forensic lab. The report will be sent to the police in three days.

All the four accused will be awarded punishment based on the report.

The four accused who were drunk laid a trap of the veterinary doctor when she parked her vehicle at a toll booth. Disha found her vehicle having a flat tire when she returned and one of the accused assured her in helping her scooter repaired and came back saying all the shops were closed.

They took her behind the parked lorries where they sexually assaulted her and then took her to Chatanpalli in Shadnagar and burnt her alive. The gory crime surfaced when a person saw the charred body of Disha and informed the police. The police have arrested four accused in connection with the case -- Mohammad Areef (prime accused), Jollu Shiva, Jollu Naveen, and Chintakunta Chennakeshavulu.

The police sent them to Shadnagar police station where people staged a protest demanding death penalty to the accused. They accused were produced at Shadnagar court and sent to judicial remand. They were currently in Cherlapally jail.
