Ahead of the election, residents of the Hyderabad are flocking back to their hometowns to cast their vote in the upcoming polls. The influx of voters returning to exercise their democratic right has led to heavy traffic congestion on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway.

The chaos began early on Saturday as people traveling in their own vehicles jammed the roads, heading towards Rajamahendravaram and Visakhapatnam via Vijayawada. The traffic snarl has disrupted the flow of vehicles from Hyderabad suburb Hayatnagar to Abdullahpurmet, with long queues forming at Chautuppal and Pantangi toll stations.

As the weekend approaches and polling day draws near, it is expected that the traffic situation on the highway will only worsen. Authorities are urging commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and to take alternative routes if possible to avoid the congestion.
