Hyderabad: Mohammed Saleem, the Chairman of Telangana State Wakf Board, was elected as the president of Jamiat-ul-Quresh Hyderabad for a period of four years, declared the election committees and returning officer advocate M A Mujeeb on Friday.

On this occasion, Saleem said that he would serve the community for its overall development and uplift. He said that scholarships would be given to the students, and a new scheme would be introduced for their development. Jamiat-ul-Quresh is an NGO working for the downtrodden and weaker section of the community by providing scholarships for needy students, monetary help for marriages, pension for widows etc., after verifying their financial condition. At present, the NGO is providing pensions to 650 widows, scholarships for the needy students and also helping in conduct of marriages.
