Hyderabad: Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday demanded Excise and Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud to resign from the government for failing to address the issues of the government staff.

Addressing the media, he said that Srinivas Goud, who was the leader of government employees in the past, has failed in addressing the issues of non-Gazetted Officers. Calling Andhra Pradesh government employees-friendly, the Congress leader advised Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to learn from his AP counterpart.

He said that though 20 months have gone by after the appointment of Pay Revision Commission, no interim relief was given. The staff of 10 districts has been distributed to 33 districts which has burdened them.

The MLC pointed out that at the time of Huzurnagar Assembly by-election, the Chief Minister had promised the government staff to accept the PRC recommendations.
