Karimnagar: Community service, as a token of love for his father!
Karimnagar: 'Charity begins at home' is true in the case of Naveen Vallam, a resident of Karimnagar. Since childhood, he took inspiration from his father Vallam Nageshwar Rao, a senior engineer at HAL, Balanagar, Hyderabad, in helping others in need. Nageshwar Rao is also very talented theatre artist and played more than 700 plays and got 452 Best actor awards.
Naveen works as a general manager in Pennar Company in Karimnagar. He is a resident of Bowenpally, Hyderabad. In memory of his father, he established VNR Trust in 2012. Through the Trust, he organises theatre, arts, promotion and service activities.
He will do social service for the love of his parents. His service for the needy includes several. He buys prosthetic limbs with his money and donates them to the disabled, who cannot afford.
When Visakhapatnam was devastated with Hudhud cyclone, Naveen went there and distributed food items to 100 Muslim families in Visakhapatnam, who lost everything in the cyclone.
He donated 16 types of ration items like rice, salt, oil, tamarind, dal etc and bed sheets to about 100 families of handloom workers in Kapaldhothi village in Krishna district for three months.
He organised free medical camps in Hydarabad and Rajahmundry. He distributed rice biscuits, tiffin for the flood victims in Bhudevi Nagar in Hyderabad in 2017. VNR Trust conducts devotional events in old age homes and donates groceries to orphanages. He adopted Government Primary Schools and distribute 200 litres milk to children in the name of 'Nitya Palamrutham' and also supplies books and other stationary items.
Naveen also adopted poor students, who secured 10/10 GPA in 10th class, conducts motivation programmes to students by good teaching faculty, takes up renovation of schools, bus shelters, construction of toilets in Government Schools.
Not only these, Naveen contributes to several other programmes. He actively participates in road safety programmes, Swach Bharat, Haritha Haram, Samuhika Seemanthalu by ICDS, distributes cloths, blankets to the poor.
National Virtual University of Karnataka presented Naveen Vallam with a doctorate. He became the man in the news after the Karnataka Niti Aayog conferred him doctorate in Bangalore.
