Karimnagar: The Left party leaders along with the RTC employees tried to lay siege the house of BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar here on Monday, in protest against the government for not taking any initiation regarding the RTC issue and its employees, who are on strike for the past 38 days.

Speaking on the occasion, CPI joint secretary Srujan Kumar alleged that the government is behaving stubbornly with the RTC employees, who are doing strike demanding the government fulfilment of the promises made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and merge the RTC with the government.

Why the ruling party MLAs, MPs and Ministers are not saying even a single word in support of the RTC employees? Are they unable to see the plight of RTC employees? he questioned.

'They won with the votes of RTC employees and now neglecting them. It is the responsibility of everyone to ask the ruling party leaders why they are not supporting the RTC employees' strike and why they are not exerting pressure on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the government to fulfil their justifiable demands, he questioned.

Srujan Kumar alleged that the CM by using police power is ruling like a monarch and attacked the RTC employees, leaders of Opposition parties including women, who participated in the Million March on Tank Bund in Hyderabad. The government even used tear gas and laticharged the RTC employees cruelly, he alleged. People are watching every move of the TRS government and ready to teach fitting lesson, the CPI joint secretary warned.

Meanwhile, when the Left party leaders along with the RTC employees tried to lay siege Minister Kamalakar house, the police intervened and arrested the leaders.

Left party leaders B Ashok, Mahendar, P Raju, B Sada Shivudu, B Yugendar, M Ramesh, N Srinivas, Ramesh and Thiruparthi were present along with others.
