Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao does not take eye-wash measures like others and knows when to meet Disha's family members. The Chief Minister has been facing criticism over not meeting the family members of veterinary doctor Disha.

The TRS leaders were responding to a question during a press conference at the TRSLP office on Tuesday. MLA G Balaraju said that the police arrested the culprits within 24 hours after the rape and murder.

"The Chief Minister will not take eye-wash measures like other politicians. He knows when to meet the family members of Disha. The people who are saying that the Chief Minister did not meet the distressed family members are losing their seats.

Earlier also they tried to gain mileage by cursing the Chief Minister, but people rejected them," Balaraju said. He said that people of Huzurnagar had taught a lesson to the Congress leaders during the RTC strike period.

The TRS claimed that they had the support of the people on the increased bus fares hence there was no response from them for the protest taken up by the Congress party on the RTC fare hike.

Government whip in Council Karne Prabhakar said that there was poor response to the protest of the Congress party on the RTC fare hike because people too have supported the hike.

"Not only people in general, even the senior Congress leaders were absent in the protest programme by the party leaders near Gandhi Bhavan," said Prabhakar.

He alleged that because of the attitude of the opposition parties some of the RTC workers committed suicide during the strike period.

The TRS leader recalled that the during a public meeting of the RTC workers in Saroornagar stadium, the opposition parties including TJS chief Prof M Kodandaram demanded that the government increase the fares to save the Corporation.

The minds of Congress leaders were blocked after they saw no support to their protest, said the TRS leader. The Congress leaders should show the way to bring the Corporation into profits, said the TRS leaders.
