The members of Non-Residential Indian (NRI) Parents Association on Friday distributed cloth bags to the officials and public representatives at the Collectorate supporting the cause of making Khammam a plastic-free town.

Khammam: The members of Non-Residential Indian (NRI) Parents Association on Friday distributed cloth bags to the officials and public representatives at the Collectorate supporting the cause of making Khammam a plastic-free town.

Speaking on the occasion, the Association members said soon awareness camps would be conducted in all schools to publicise the cause of making the town plastic-free. The Association members presented cloth bags to Collector RV Karnan, Zilla Parishad chairman K Kamal Raju, MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, MLC Balasani Laxminarayan and other public representatives and officials on the day.

Association president Y Venkateswarlu, Secretary Chava Ramesh Babu, Treasurer N Sudarshan and members D Srinivas Rao, Raghavaiah, Swarupa Rani, Sandhya and M Venkateswarlu were present.
