Khammam: Woman strangled to death after scraf entangles in bike
A woman died after her scarf entangles in the rear wheel of the bike in Khammam district
A 45-year-old woman died after her scraf got entangled in bike and strangled her to death. The incident occurred in Tallada of Khammam district on Tuesday morning.
The woman, Malambi, a native of Vijayawada had gone to her brother's house in Kothagudem before the lockdown. As the lockdown was eased, Malambi along with a relative Gafar has started to Nandigama on a bike. When they reached a church on Tallada-Warangal highway, the scraf she was around the neck got entangled in the rear wheel of the bike.
The scraf strangled the woman following which she fell from the bike and succumbed to serious head injuries on the spot. Based on a complaint, Tallada SI Tiruapati Reddy registered a case and launched an investigation. The body of the deceased handed over to her family after an autopsy.
In a similar case, a 26-year-old woman died after her dupatta entangled in the bike and fell off the bike. She was identified as Munagala Lakshmi Devi, a resident of Gopavaram in Kadapa district.
