Komatireddy Rajagopal may join BJP
Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal on Saturday gave indications that he might join the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Hyderabad: Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal on Saturday gave indications that he might join the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Speaking to media persons at a private hotel in Nalgonda, Rajagopal not only criticised the Telangana Congress leaders, but also raised questions over the leadership of AICC President Rahul Gandhi. He said that there was no future for Congress party in Telangana. Therefore, he said several leaders were looking at the BJP as an alternate. He said that the State leadership has failed to prevent defection of 12 MLAs and nothing was done after their merger with TRS.
The Munugode MLA said that the party leaders and cadre have started feeling that the leadership of Rahul Gandhi has weakened and it was not addressing real issues.
