Residents say that the GHMC is constructing fences and walkways around some lakes in the city but no such effort has been undertaken at the Yellamma Lake. Repeated requests to the corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud have not yielded results. Karthik, a private employer, said, "For the past two years there has been no development of this Cheruvu and Yellambanda people too are to blame for dumping garbage."
