Nikhilesh, a local said, "The open nala has been emanating foul smell 24/7 forcing the residents to close the doors and windows of their houses. Also, there have been incidents of animals falling into nala.

The locals are also disposing of the waste and garbage into the nala resulting in choking and overflow. The overflowing drain water becomes stagnant and turns muddy and slippery posing threat to motorists and commuters."
