Mahbubnagar: The villagers of Khanapur gram panchayat were given a brand new tractor as part of Palle Pragathi programme on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Ata Aruna Satyanarayana, Khanapur Sarpanch said that with the new tractor for the village, they are further encouraged to carryout various activities under Palle Pragathi programme.

However, now we can directly collect the garbage in the tractor and dump it. Not just that the tractor can also be used for other works like transporting saplings, distributing water and for watering plants," said the Sarpanch.

The villagers also expressed happiness for getting a tractor and thanked the government for distributing. Vice-Sarpanch Rangaiah, village secretary Lalitha Kumari, former Sarpanch and Kurva Sangam president Ashanna, former ward member Pentaiah and current ward members Kandula Yadaiah, Khaja, M Siddu, B Pratap and Yadaiah were present.
