Minor boy convicted of molesting 6-year-old girl in Hyderabad

A minor boy was sentenced to take up community service for three months by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) at LB Nagar on Saturday convicting him in the rape of a six-year-old girl. His parents were also asked to pay a fine of Rs 5,000.
It was in 2015 that the 12-year-old boy lured the girl and then took her to an isolated place where he sexually assaulted her.
The Saroornagar police took up the case after the family of the girl lodged a complaint against the juvenile under POCSO act. They produced him before the juvenile court and filed a charge sheet after completing the investigation.
Convicting him in the case, the court also asked him to undergo counselling for a period of three months.
