Nalgonda: Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy criticised that both the TRS and the BJP were trying to get political benefit through misutilising the power and by dividing the people on caste and religious lines.

Speaking to the media in Nalgonda on Friday, he expressed solidarity to the farmers' agitation and demanded the Central government to fulfil farmers' demands unconditionally in the interest of the nation. He called upon the farmers of the State to launch agitation on the lines of Delhi agitation. He expressed concern over non-procurement of sanna variety of paddy, which was cultivated by the farmers as per the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Venkat Reddy announced that he will launch an agitation demanding completion of SLBC tunnel and Udaya Samudram Lift Irrigation Scheme (Brahmana Vellemla project in Nalgonda district.

Criticising that the TRS did nothing to the people of the State for the past seven years, he questioned CM KCR over his pending promises like financial aid to unemployed youth etc. Both KCR and his son and Minister KT Rama Rao were robbing the State in the name of projects and pharma city, he added. He announced that his party will conduct protest demonstration against LRS on December 9.

The MP stated that the results of Dubbaka by-poll and GHMC does not have any impact on the prospects of Congress' winning chances in the next Assembly elections in the State. And he appealed to the party leaders and activists not to lose heart with GHMC results. He added that party high command will look after into the matter of changing TPCC president.

Stating that he always has indebted to the people of Nalgonda district, who made him a noted leader, he described Nalgonda as the mother's lap. DCC president Shankar Naik, party leaders Dubbaka Narasimha Reddy, Burri Srinivas Reddy and others were present at the press meet.
