Nidmanoor (Nalgonda): ZP chairman Banda Narender Reddy along with Nagarjunasagar MLA Nomula Narsimaiah saplings in forest land located at Jangalagudem hamlet of Guntipally in Nidmanoor mandal in the district on Monday.

Addressing on the occasion, the leaders opined that planting 17,000 saplings in 30,38 acres is nothing but creating a mini forest in Nidmanoor mandal .

Plants not only provide oxygen and control the pollution but also regulate seasons which helps farmers to get rains at right time.

They urged the local people to extend their cooperation to make Haritha Haram a grand success.

Locals and labourers registered under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme will get opportunity to work during the development of lands and at the time of plantation drive.

The duo leaders thanked and appreciated the people of Guntipally and Jangalagudem villagers for extending their cooperation to the Haritha Haram programme.

ZP chief executive officer Veera Bramha Chary, DRDA project director Shekar Reddy, ZP vice chairman Irigi Peddulu , district forest officer Shantha Ram , RDO Jagnatha Rao , ZPTC Rameshwari , Sarpanch Sandya Rani , local officials , peoples' representatives and villagers attended the programme.
