Narayanpet: Recognising his services, not just towards improving quality of education in the government school, but for his services rendered to the Indian Red Cross Society, the government honoured the senior teacher Balalingaiah from Zillah Parishad High Boys School of Marikal mandal. Governor of Telangana Tamilisai Saundraya Rajan issued the Merit Certificate for him on Tuesday.
The Merit Certificate was presented by District Collector of Mahbubnagar to Balalingaiah at a programme organised in the district. The Collector congratulated the teacher and wished him to do more for the development of school children. "This is a great moment for me and it makes me more responsible to do much better for the education of the children from poor families," said Balalingaiah.
The senior teacher from ZPHS Marikal has been proactively working and has taken up various development programmes and helped provide scholarships to the underprivileged students from donors and NGOs and has also successfully roped in many fund givers and convinced them to provide books, facilities computers, library books and uniforms, plates etc for the students.
Recognising his services, the government honoured the teacher with the Merit certificate.
