NIT student ends life in Warangal
A third year engineering student of National Institute of Technology (NIT) allegedly ended his life here on Wednesday.
Warangal: A third year engineering student of National Institute of Technology (NIT) allegedly ended his life here on Wednesday. According to the NIT officials, Kaushik Pandey a student of Computer Science Engineering (CSE) reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room (No 1020). Pandey belonged to Malda of West Bengal.
Kaushik who spent a couple of days with his Biplab Pandey in a lodge in Hanamkonda returned to the campus on Monday. His father runs a sweet shop in Malda. When Kaushik did not answer to his call on Wednesday morning, Biplab Pandey came to the NIT campus.
He along with NIT officials went to his room in the hostel but only to find his son hanging. According to NIT officials, Kaushik was class topper in the first year however he was not up to the mark for the last couple of years. The reason for suicide is yet to be ascertained, the NIT officials said. The body was shifted to the MGM Hospital for post-mortem.
