Hyderabad: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has decided to summon Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and TSRTC officials to sort out the RTC workers'

demands.

The Union Minister was responding when Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy called on Gadkari in New Delhi on Thursday.

Kishan Reddy, accompanied Telangana BJP MPs B Sanjay, D Arvind and S Bapu Rao, submitted a memorandum to the Union Minister seeking Centre's active intervention in the RTC workers' strike against the Telangana Government.

They explained Gadkari about the plight of the striking RTC workers for the last 45 days in Telangana.

The delegation briefed Gadkari that the Centre has the authority to intervene and resolve the RTC issue since the Union ministry was holding stake in the road transport corporation.

The BJP MPs delegation also complained against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao saying that the CM was intimidating the RTC workers.

In a quick response, Gadkari said he will hold a special meeting with RTC management on the financial status of the corporation.

Telangana Transport minister will also be invited to the meeting to end the impasse at the earliest.

Kishan Reddy said that the Union Minister also assured the continuation of the services of all RTC workers without conditions set by the State government to join their duties recently.

The government has put the condition of withdrawal of membership from trade unions by all workers and RTC JAC was opposed to the same.
