Nizamabad: Sneha Society for Rural Reconstruction had rendered services during lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus, created awareness on the virus among the families of disabled children and distributed essential commodities to these families, said Society Secretary S Siddaiah.

The Society celebrated Telangana Formation Day at Maruthi Nagar here on Tuesday. All the members wore mask and maintained social distancing during the programme.

Mementoes presented to five staff members – N Vimala, teacher at Special School for Mentally Retarded; T Varalakshmi, special teacher at Special School for Visually Handicapped; Sangeetha, case worker with Sakhi One Stop Centre; Vishwaja, outreach worker with TI Project; and N Venkatalakshmi, teacher at Inclusive Educational Centre –for rendering services during Covid-19.
