Nizamabad: District Collector C Narayana Reddy advised the booth level officials to ensure that the Special Summary Revision is accurate and no errors arise. The District Collector on Saturday visited the polling stations to inspect the registration process for the special Electoral Summary Revision (SSR), which is being conducted for two days - Saturday and Sunday.

He visited St Mary's High School on Qilla Road in Nizamabad city and Cambridge International School in Habibnagar. Reddy spoke to the booth level officials at the SSR centres and inquired into the details of the reaction of the people on setting up of these centres.

The Collector directed the BLO to create awareness so that everyone who turns 18 by January 1, 2021 can register as a voter. The Collector directed the BLO to go door-to-door from noon and motivate those who are eligible to vote and ask them to enter personal details in Form 6 and give them back.

He reminded the BLOs that the CEC target was to have four per cent of new voters over the age of 18 in the total number of voters in the polling booth. Reddy said that he wants to take special care of the new voter registration process on Sunday so that everyone's names are registered and go door to door and register them as a voter.

Those above the age of 18 can register online, he informed and asked for corrections or any changes or additions in the voters' list to be made through Form 7 and transfer or deletion to be done through forms 8 and 8A.

Reddy said that the names of those who died should be removed and warned that action would be taken if complaints regarding any non-availability of forms were received. He directed the concerned authorities to ensure that relevant forms should be available at the polling stations for two days during the special registration.

Accompanying the district collector were Municipal Commissioner Jitesh V Patil, municipal staff and others.
