Nurses boycott duties at NIMS, protest against injustice meted out over promotions

Staff and head nurses at Nizam Insitute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) boycotted duties on Friday and stage a protest against the medical superintendent for being injustice towards them. They further demanded justice to the nurse Nirmala who slit her throat after being denied the promotion.

Later, the nurses submitted a memorandum to the NIMS director Manohar who assured them to solve their issues. He also said that the promotion of Nirmala is currently under the court's permit and it will be decided on the directions of the court.

On Thursday, Nirmala (45) slit her throat and wrist alleging that the NIMS officials have done injustice to her in according promotion. She is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
