Parties in feverish race to win local body polls
Leaders of TRS and Congress are chalking out plans to win ensuing ZPTC and MPTC elections. The leaders are running around senior leaders to get party ticket to contest the election.
Tandur: Leaders of TRS and Congress are chalking out plans to win ensuing ZPTC and MPTC elections. The leaders are running around senior leaders to get party ticket to contest the election.
Senior leaders of both parties are mulling to field winning candidates. Elections for 18 ZPTC and 221 MPTC will be conducted in three phases in the district. ZP chairperson Patnam Sunitha Reddy has won from erstwhile Rangareddy on TRS ticket. It is yet to be known from which seat either Rangareddy or Vikarabad she will be contesting.
On the other hand, Sunitha Sampath and Aarthi Reddy are vying with each other to contest on Congress ticket.According to reports, TRS working president KTR has handed over the responsibility of selecting winning candidates to former Minister Mahender Reddy.
Congress district president and Tandur MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy is selecting candidates for MPTC and ZPTC elections. Peddemul Mandal president Narayana Reddy said that TPCC president Uttam Kumar was drafting new plans to curb defections. He said that the selection of candidates will be based on choice of party activists.
