People taught TRS a lesson in LS polls: Kodandaram
Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) will be holding party’s first plenary next month (June), in which it will prepare a road map of its activities for the next year and also an action plan to attend and resolve public issues.

Commenting on Lok Sabha results in Telangana, TJS chief Prof Kodandaram said Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was taught a lesson by people of the State for its lopsided priorities and almost nil governance in the last six months post assembly results.
Addressing media here on Monday, Kodandaram said there is nothing wrong if Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh meet and stress on friendly relations between both Telugu States.
Care should be taken so that interests of Telangana are not hampered and if anything of that sort happens then the government will not be spared by people, he said.
Kodandaram pointed out that due to dip of nearly 5.5 per cent of vote share for TRS in last six months from Assembly polls to Lok Sabha polls the pink party had to be content with nine seats.
He said the poll results can be termed as the victory of the people.
In last six months agriculture was neglected, genuine demands of turmeric and maize farmers from Nizamabad was ignored and their voice was also suppressed, employment and job recruitments were ignored and young voters were visibly upset, not bothering about Adivasi rights and Forest Rights Act and understandably the ruling party had to pay the price, he said.
Kodandaram said the TJS stood in the third position in Mahabubabad segment despite entering the election with limited resources.
He said the TJS would go ahead with renewed vigour and a proper action plan to fight on behalf of the people in issues confronting them.
Kodandaram exuded confidence that the TJS would go from strength to strength to become an alternative political force in Telangana in the future.
