Police seize 20 bikes, 2 autos during cordon & search
The police have seized 20 two-wheelers and two auto-rickshaws from Atmakur mandal headquarter of Wanaparthy district during a cordon and search operation on Tuesday.
Wanaparthy: The police have seized 20 two-wheelers and two auto-rickshaws from Atmakur mandal headquarter of Wanaparthy district during a cordon and search operation on Tuesday.
The Wanaparthy police conducted a cordon and search operation in Waddera Veedhi and Kummari Veedhi areas of Atmakur mandal headquarters and found that 22 people owned the vehicles sans no proper documents.
The police seized the vehicles, and conducted an awareness meeting with the general public. Speaking on the occasion, Wanaparthy DSP KM Kiran Kumar said that as per the directions of Wanaparthy Superintendent of Police Apoorva Rao, the police for the safety of the public had conducted the cordon and search operation to keep an eye on the anti-social elements that are living in the guise of common public and creating problems to the public.
He said that the people should always keep proper documents of their vehicles and must produce them on demand, otherwise the police would seize them and would return only after proper documents were provided.
