Nirmal: Police should be supportive and friendly with the people, Superintendent of Police Shashidhar Raju told the district police officials at the Grievance Cell programme at the district police office in Nirmal on Monday.

During the programme, the SP received grievances from the people, who came from different parts of the district. He greeted the petitioners affectionately, listened to their problems, and directed the police officers concerned to solve the problems of the petitioners as early as possible.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Shashidhar Raju said that friendly policing would be adopted and warned that strict action will be taken on those who disturb peace and protections. Focus would be on the immediate response and actions from the police officials, he added.

The SP assured to taking steps to continue visual policing in the district and more police force will be deployed to prevent crime at night deployed. People, who need police

help, can come directly and without fear to the police station. He urged the people to inform to the police immediately if they found anything suspicious or any anti-social action in their areas.
