Sakhi/Pink polling booths will stand as a role model to the nation, which will be followed in other phases of election, said Election Observer TK Shibu.
Karimnagar: Sakhi/Pink polling booths will stand as a role model to the nation, which will be followed in other phases of election, said Election Observer TK Shibu.
The Pink polling booths will have completely female staff, aimed at empowering women and increasing their participation in the poll process. He visited the women polling station at MRC building in Manakondur constituency on Monday evening. Fifth polling station is selected as Pink booth.
The Election Observer enquired about the arrangements and facilities to be provided in that station and interacted with booth-level officers about the distribution of photo voter slips.
Sectoral officer Karra Sabita, RI Raghu, VRO Durgaprasad, BLOs Padma, Nirmala, Vijaya, Padma Rani and others accompanied the EO.
